Makes installations of general plumbing systems and repairs existing systems; installs
water piping and taps water and sewer mains and laterals; installs and repairs domestic
hot water systems, and renews pipes, valves, and fittings; repairs water supply, gas, waste,
and drainage pipes; cleans out drains and obstructions in water and sewer systems;
maintains deep well pumps; repairs fire protection (water) sprinkling systems; may
supervise the work of trainees.
Knowledge:
The tools, materials, and standard practices of the plumbing trade;
Design, construction, installation, and maintenance of plumbing systems and
facilities; State, County, and City plumbing codes and ordinances.
Ability to:
Skillfully use plumbing tools and equipment;
Work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints;
Follow verbal and written directions
Experience:
Four years of responsible plumbing experience. Qualified journeyman in Plumbing trades.
Education:
High school education or equivalent in training and experience.
License:
Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
