So, what will the Logistics/ Assets Management Specialist at Terrestris do?

The Logistics / Asset Management Specialistwill provide expert support to the U.S. Coast Guard’s Mission Essential Personnel Equipment (MEPE) program at Base Portsmouth, VA. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of mission-essential assets, ensuring accurate accountability, inventory control, and readiness in alignment with Coast Guard logistics policies. The Specialist will oversee property management functions, maintain visibility of equipment through Coast Guard logistics systems, and provide analysis and reporting to program leadership. Acting as a subject matter expert, the Senior Specialist will also mentor junior staff, support process improvements, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure personnel and equipment are mission ready.

What does a typical day look like for the Level Logistics/ Assets Management Specialist?

You will:

  • Develop depot and organizational level maintenance procedure cards in accordance with CG standards.
  • Monitor and track depot and organizational level maintenance actions for all MEPE PL equipment sets.
  • Develop logistics support strategies for MEPE PL equipment sets.
  • Develop logistics fielding plans for new MEPE PL equipment.
  • Coordinate with inter and intra agency organizations on logistics support.
  • Develop configuration management plans for MEPE PL equipment sets.
  • Identify and develop resource requirements for total life cycle logistics support for MEPE PL equipment sets.
  • Coordinate with CG units to ensure proper logistics procedures are followed.
  • Conduct on site assessments at CG units to gather information on supply and maintenance of MEPE PL supported equipment sets.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have:

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
  • A bachelor’s degree or 10 years related experience.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply, or asset management roles, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Coast Guard or DoD logistics, supply, and asset management systems.
  • Familiarity with federal property accountability requirements and lifecycle asset management practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
