This Opportunity
We're hiring a seasonal Equipment Operator/Vac Truck Driver to support our Industrial Services team on a key project running from October 2025 to April 2026 at a metro-area site. In this role, you'll play a vital part in project operations and be on call overnight, with typical shifts scheduled from 4 PM to 4 AM or 8 PM to 4 AM, depending on project needs. This is a well-compensated seasonal role with overtime and shift premium opportunities!
Your Key Responsibilities
- Travel to job sites and operate vacuum trucks and other company equipment and vehicles
- Accurately preform pre-trip and post trip, and report deficiencies daily
- Label and manifest shipments in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Interact with customers and provide superior customer service during all activities
- Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs
- Maintain, protect, and keep all equipment in excellent condition
- Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations
- Operate and troubleshoot routinely used tools and equipment
- Develop summaries, generate photographic logs, and input field work documentation
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License Class B or A required
- Tanker endorsement helpful, but will be provided to the right candidate
- Basic computer skills, such as using Microsoft Office products, communicating through email, etc.
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Occasional weekend work required
- Possess or have access to reliable means of transportation on a 24-hour basis
- Experience operating vacuum trucks or similar equipment
- Frequent lifting, carrying, or exertion of objects up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Able to perform repetitive movements, including movements of digits, hands, wrists, and arms
Physical Requirements
- Ability to function in work environments that sometimes include high heat; high humidity; extreme cold; roadway traffic hazards; on water (boat operations) and confined spaces.
- Adequate vision and hearing to safely see teammates hand signals and hear warning communication in low light.
- Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers (including reaching, grasping, twisting, pushing, and pulling).
- Walking on uneven surfaces & climbing stairs/ladders.
- Semi-frequent crouching, bending, stooping and twisting, occasionally in tight spaces.
- Sitting in a vehicle for up to eleven hours straight.
- Working while standing during a 12-hour workday.
- Frequently lifting up to 10 lbs. over an 8-hour period and occasionally up to 50 lbs. over a four-hour period.
- Occasionally lifting 3-6” diameter hoses that weigh approximately 20 pounds over the head onto hose racks.
- Managing a 55-gallon drum containing approximately 400 pounds of material onto a drum dolly, then moving the drum using the dolly.
