Job Title: Photographer & Content Creator

Department: New Life Central Operations/Communications

Reports to: Lead Photographer

Status: Part -Time | Hourly

Schedule: Weekends (primarily Sundays), 1-2midweek events/month, plus holidays | 10 Hours

New Life Church's mission is to make disciples in the Pikes Peak region, by calling people to worship, connect and serve.  

            Job Summary:

This role is designed to strengthen the creative ministry of our church by providing consistent, high-quality photography across multiple congregations. The primary focus is capturing worship, community, and special events. While the emphasis is on photography, the role also includes light content support to help ensure images are shared effectively on social media. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide photography coverage for assigned congregations (primarily Midtown and Nueva Vida) as well as key mid-week events.
• Deliver edited photos in a timely manner, maintaining consistent quality and style.
• Occasionally support content creation for social media (photo selection, captions, short posts).
• Capture holiday services and other major events as scheduled.
• Collaborate with the creative team to ensure photos and content align with the overall brand and ministry goals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Possess firm knowledge of Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite and photo editing principles. (Photoshop, Lightroom)
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, execute plans, and achieve goals set by oversight.
• Demonstrate strong creative skills.
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Possess familiarity with basic office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Be self-motivated and able to work well independently and as well as in a team environment.
• Possess ability to handle multiple tasks and to complete assignments with little guidance.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with ability to verbally communicate effectively and tactfully on all levels.

            Education and Experience:

Education:  High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: Some formal training or education in photography preferred.

Working Conditions and Requirements

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Close visual acuity to is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
