Job Summary

Calvary Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and Christ-centered Baseball Coach to lead and develop our middle school and high school baseball teams. The coach will be responsible for teaching both fundamental and advanced baseball skills, fostering teamwork, and instilling discipline while serving as a positive Christian role model for student-athletes. This role includes planning practices, developing game strategies, and ensuring a safe, competitive, and spiritually enriching environment that reflects the mission and values of Calvary Christian Academy.

The Baseball Coach position is essential to supporting Calvary Christian Academy’s mission of developing students spiritually, academically, and athletically. Baseball provides student-athletes with opportunities to build discipline, teamwork, leadership, and perseverance while representing the school with integrity and excellence. A dedicated coach ensures that players receive proper instruction, guidance, and mentorship in both skill development and character formation.

Key Responsibilities

• Christ-Centered Leadership: Model Christ-like behavior, teach biblical principles, and integrate spiritual lessons into athletic instruction.
• Baseball Expertise: Provide instruction in baseball fundamentals, advanced techniques, game strategy, and rules.
• Student Mentorship: Encourage personal growth, discipline, and confidence among student-athletes.
• Program Leadership: Organize and lead practices, games, and team events with excellence and professionalism.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with players, parents, staff, and administration.
• Safety & Well-Being: Ensure safe practice and game environments that promote athletic and spiritual development.

Qualifications

• A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Previous baseball coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of baseball techniques, strategy, and safety standards.
• Ability to mentor, motivate, and disciple student-athletes.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the mission, values, and community standards of Calvary Christian Academy.
