The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) has an opening for a Long-Term Subsitute to teach learning support classroom at TCHS Pennock's Bridge Campus in West Grove, PA. This position is temporary to be from now to the end of December. An extension is possible but not guarenteed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors level degree in education required
- Valid PA Special Education Certificate (7-12 or N-12) required
- Experience with secondary students preferred
- Three to five years teaching experience preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents with severe and complex behavior challenges in school, community, or residential setting preferred
- Current police, child abuse & FBI fingerprint clearances required (conducted by the CCIU upon hire)
Duties & Responsibilities: - Instruct individuals and groups in special education skill and subject area
- Plan curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods
- Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behavior
- Support objectives and interventions of the educational program
- Maintain safe physical environment of the classroom
- Maintain contact with parents of students and/or professionals concerning student progress
- When appropriate, develop IEPs addressing specific academic, behavioral, and speech needs of students
- Prepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as required
- Function as integral member of treatment/IEP team, addressing needs of students
Salary 2025-2026 School Year: - $58,751 to $88,563 - Instructional I Certification
- $61,300 to $92,110 - Instructional II Certification
- $65,394 to $100,586- Master's Degree
- $68,403 to $104,546- Master's +15
- $$69,938 to $106,442 - Master's + 30
*Placement on the salary scale is determined by previous experience. Salary is pro-rated for days worked in the school year.
