Why AirTanker?

AirTanker is a vital part of the UK’s defence capability, delivering air-to-air refuelling and air transport services to the RAF and MOD. We operate at the intersection of military precision and commercial innovation.  As a Part 145 Expeditor, you’ll be the logistical backbone of our maintenance operations—ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time so our engineering teams can keep aircraft safe, ready, and mission-capable. Your work directly supports AirTanker’s ability to deliver critical air mobility and refuelling operations when it matters most.

What's in it for you?

  • Purpose-Driven Contribution: Your work directly supports the safety, reliability, and readiness of the UK’s air mobility capability, making a tangible difference every day.
  • Professional Growth: Gain hands-on experience with aviation maintenance systems like Envision and GCIS, while developing your skills in logistics coordination and engineering support.
  • Engineering Integration: Work closely with Base and Line Maintenance teams, Production Planners, and Check Delivery Engineers—becoming a key link in the operational chain that keeps aircraft mission-ready.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Including private medical insurance, bonus scheme, EV scheme, contributory pension, and more.
  • Adventure & Belonging: Battlefield tours, adventure training, and family fun days.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure materials are pre-loaded and available for scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Organise workpacks into task-specific zones and manage daily deliveries from Logistics.
  • Liaise with Production Planners and Engineers to prioritise material requirements.
  • Manage returns of unused components and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Support safe and efficient operations in line with our Safety Management System and quality standards.

What you'll bring

  • IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in aviation maintenance or similar technical environments.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Safety-focused mindset and excellent communication skills.
