We are seeking an experienced Organisational Effectiveness Manager to join our team at Heathrow. The successful candidate will scope, lead and drive Organisational Effectiveness programmes across Heathrow in support of the business and people strategy. 

The role has a big opportunity to influence and shape thinking, and the successful candidate will ideally bring subject matter expertise to strengthen our organisational effectiveness capability in Heathrow. 

You will have previously worked in a large organisation, ideally matrixed, and be able to demonstrate experience in organisation design, development or people change.  You are likely to be an organisational design or development specialist or have gained these skills in a strategic people business partnering role.

Responsibilities

  • Scoping, designing and delivering large-scale organisational effectiveness and people change projects, programmes and initiatives, working collaboratively with leaders and people business partners. Programmes will vary in nature and scale and may encompass organisational design, improving ways of working, insourcing or outsourcing. 
  • Being responsible for the people change plan to support successful programme implementation, including full change impact assessment, comms, engagement, stakeholder management and embedding plans. 
  • Using data and insights to inform programme decisions and continually assess programme progress against objectives, making improvements throughout to ensure that all business benefits can be fully optimised, and the investment maximised. 
  • Using project management and delivery frameworks and tools, to deliver people projects that support the delivery of the overarching people plans.
  • Demonstrating a high level of proactivity and ownership, excellent planning and organising of self and others to drive progress and achievement of outcomes.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior members of the OE team.

Qualifications

  • Experience of delivering and leading organisation effectiveness, design and people change initiatives in a complex environment. 
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders to shape and influence decisions by applying technical knowledge, rationale and data; being able to provide challenge and support to senior stakeholders to get the right outcomes.
  • Ability to understand complex, often ambiguous, subjects and translate this understanding into fully formed and grounded plans that are simple and actionable.
  • Resilience and tenacity to manage conflicting demands, and an ability to flex and work in a changing environment with some level of ambiguity, sometimes to tight timeframes and under pressure.
  • Understanding of key organisation design and change methodologies and applying these is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience or meaningful exposure to strategic workforce planning.

Working Location

Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of HeathrowWorking arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
