PURPOSE
The Tool Coordinator is responsible for the tracking and safeguarding of inventory that flows through the tool crib. Performs related work as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Ensure inbound assets are properly checked back into the tool crib.
- Conduct a daily lot check to verify all inbound trailers and equipment are accounted for.
- Clean, inspect and test inbound tools and equipment.
- Perform in-house tool repairs.
- Inspect, service and repair small engines, UTVs and trailers.
- Utilize tool management software to allocate and check tools in and out of projects according to Baker Group process and procedure.
- Generate and send tool and equipment reports to field supervisors.
- Assign tool numbers and label new tools according to Baker Group standards, organize tools and inventory.
- Receive tool list from field supervisors and gather tools for projects.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the safeguarding of tools and equipment.
- Review job cost and scan and retrieve documents in Spectrum to ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Assist in assuring tools are in safe working order prior job site delivery.
- Accurate daily time and equipment reporting.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of tools and equipment related to HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical trades
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook and Excel)
- Data entry experience required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Obtain OSHA 30 Hours within 1st year
- Valid driver license with good driving record
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Strong organizational skills
- Desire to continuously expand knowledge of Baker Group services and capabilities
- Ability to multi-task in detail-oriented manner with solid organizational skills
- Willing to take on new projects, train, and implement processes and training
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer or standing may be required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Occasional exposure to variety of temperature and weather conditions.
