Opportunity Summary
The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Support Manager will serve as a key leadership resource across all Heritage Power, LLC assets, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to strengthen station performance. This role ensures compliance with NERC requirements, oversees GADS administration, and supports major projects, outages, and long-term planning initiatives that drive operational reliability and fleet profitability. The position also partners closely with NAES personnel to advance safety, training, and assessment programs while fostering collaboration across diverse station teams.
Residence in the NJ, PA, OH or surrounding region is needed to enable timely on-site support and oversight of Heritage Power LLC assets.
This opportunity involves a wide range of impactful responsibilities, including:
Leadership Resource
- Serve as a leadership resource across all Heritage Power, LLC assets, providing consistent guidance and direction.
- Mentor and develop station leadership teams, including Operations and Maintenance Managers and Supervisors, to strengthen leadership capability.
- Support administrative and procurement teams with interpretation of policies and resolution of procedural questions.
- Assist station leaders in fostering a collaborative and productive environment with union personnel and diverse teams across the fleet.
NERC Compliance
- Monitor NERC requirements across the Heritage fleet to ensure ongoing compliance and readiness for audits.
- Interface with NAES and Everline to track compliance status and resolve deficiencies in evidence needed to demonstrate adherence to NERC standards.
- Provide on-site (“boots on the ground”) support for Heritage facilities, particularly with PRC and MOD requirements.
GADS Administration
- Maintain primary responsibility for accurate and timely quarterly PJM GADS submissions.
- Administer and maintain the Heritage GADS database to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Develop and train a qualified backup resource to ensure continuity of GADS responsibilities.
Heritage Fleet Support
- Engage with sites during major project and overhaul planning, monitoring progress and providing oversight as needed.
- Assist with training and preparation for large projects, maintenance outages, and the effective handling of significant events.
- Serve as a technical resource for equipment performance issues, unit trips, equipment failures, and lead root cause analysis efforts.
- Support annual updates of 5-year plans and budgets by providing input and guidance to station leadership.
- Lead key initiatives aimed at improving station reliability, operational performance, and overall fleet profitability.
- Monitor monthly station reporting requirements for accuracy and completeness, offering guidance and feedback to station leadership teams.
NAES Support
- Provide leadership support and direction to personnel on the application of NAES procedures, including safety and compliance standards.
- Assist staff with Gensuite reporting, application use, and training to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Lead the rollout and ongoing administration of the NAES assessment program across all Heritage assets.

Working Relationships
The O&M Support Manager reports to the Operations Director. Contacts are normally made with others inside and outside of the company to include customers, vendors, contractors, other departments, immediate associates, and own supervisor. Contacts are usually made on own initiative concerning matters requiring explanation, discussion, interpretation, and approvals.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. However, as some work is performed at power plants, there may be occasions that require standing for extended periods of time, climbing stairs and ladders, and wearing protective equipment (such as hard hats, safety glasses, and hearing protection). On-site conditions may also necessitate work outdoors in varying weather, including both hot and cold temperatures. Please note that there are strict smoking restrictions in and around corporate offices and plant facilities.
Fitness for Duty
All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer drug screen.
Work Schedule
The O&M Support Manager works a standard Monday to Friday day shift schedule, ensuring consistent plant operation and support during regular business hours.
This position requires extensive travel to support client and project needs, including participation in manager, owner, user group, and other offsite meetings; extended hours may also be required while traveling.
Compensation
This position offers an annual base salary ranging from $160,000 to $175,000 and includes eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
Professional Expertise & Qualifications
We are seeking an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the operations and maintenance of power generating facilities, paired with a strong history of career growth and a track record of excellence in achieving results.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent discipline preferred, providing a solid foundation in the technical aspects of power plant operations and management. Relevant industry or military experience may be considered in lieu of formal education on a year-for-year basis.
- Six to ten years of experience in plant operations, maintenance, or engineering within an industrial or power plant environment, including exposure to design, construction, startup, or operations.
- Residence in the NJ, PA, OH or immediate surrounding region is needed to enable timely on-site support and oversight of Heritage Power LLC assets.
- Proven management experience in technical areas, with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple activities across diverse disciplines.
- Strong commercial background with experience in contract management, negotiations, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Prior experience working with a third-party O&M service provider strongly desired.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., NERC, OSHA, EPA) and experience supporting audits or developing compliance programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration among union and non-union personnel, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze plant performance data, lead root cause analysis, and implement initiatives that improve operational reliability and profitability.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license and ensure it remains in good standing at all times.
