Data Reporting Analyst
Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Reporting Analyst to oversee our data processing
and analysis responsibilities.
The Data Reporting Analyst will interpret data, formulate reports and make
recommendations based upon the research findings.
The analyst will work closely with the management team to establish business needs.
Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of data analysis techniques and
experience in data interpretation and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collect and interpret data from various sources
Analyze and report the results from data analyses to management and key stakeholders
Develop and implement databases and data collection systems
Ensure data integrity by cleaning and validating data to ensure accuracy, completeness,
and uniformity
Design and create data reports using reporting tools
Transform raw data into understandable and actionable information
Identify patterns and trends within data sets
Work with different departments to understand their data reporting needs
Develop policies and procedures for data collection and analysis
Assist in decision-making processes by providing timely and accurate data reports
Stay updated with the latest data analysis tools and techniques
Train end-users on new reports and dashboards, ensuring the organization can effectively
utilize the data insights provided.
Qualifications
• Proven working experience as a Data Reporting Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data
mining and segmentation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases.
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw
meaningful conclusions.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability in data analysis and
reporting.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and rectify issues that may arise during data
collection, processing, and interpretation.
• Communication skills to effectively present and explain the complex data in an
understandable manner to team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders using
effective interpersonal skills.
• Project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver
results within set deadlines.
• Understanding of data privacy standards and regulations to ensure compliance in
data handling and reporting.
• Knowledge of Excel, SQL, and other data management and analysis software.
• BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or
Statistics.
