We are seeking a Testing Technician to join our team in Tonawanda, NY. This full-time, non-exempt position will work within the Testing department to ensure compliance and functionality of our custom OEM equipment, based on customer specifications and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a hydraulic background, electrical knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting schematics and specifications.
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 6am - 4:30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare testing as required using product procedures and specifications
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and adjust as needed
- Review schematics and test plans and inspect, test and maintain hydraulic systems
- Ensure that all testing is documented and meets customer requirements
- Ensure general compliance of calibrated equipment and systems used for internal testing
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
- Ensure compliance with various internal and customer specifications.
- Support the testing department in all aspects
- Participate in cross training on multiple product lines
- Maintain high safety standards and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Always work safely per the OSHA and the organizations policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent required; Vocational or Technical training preferred;
- Minimum 3 years verifiable experience in hydraulics field or in a related area
- Electrical knowledge or background considered an asset
- Ability to understand schematics
- Knowledge and experience using various hand tools, power tools and measuring devices
- General computer literacy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
