Description
The Lending Assistant is responsible for supporting all aspects of dealer loan operations, including loan processing and collections.
Essential Duties:
· Greet customers, answer incoming calls, and assist with loan inquiries and account questions
· Prepare, process, and maintain loan documentation, including titles, extension, payments, loan tickets, and imaging
· Upload loans to the core system, purge paid loan files, and ensure accurate record keeping
· Run credit reports, verify year-end interest totals (1098), and provide payoff information upon request
· Prepare and distribute collection and repossession documents, including deficiency letters, notices of sale, warrants in debt, abstracts, and DMV/title paperwork
· Coordinate with collection agencies by creating Hold Harmless packages and conducting skip tracing using TLO reports
· Process and maintain accurate records by scanning documents into the imaging system
· Manage customer communication, including inbound and outbound calls with delinquent borrowers
· Provide general support to the Collections Manager and assist with additional tasks as needed
Non-Essential Duties:
• Participates in Bank-sponsored and other community/civic events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
· High school diploma or GED,
· At least two years of related experience, or
· Combination of education and experience.
· Bilingual in Spanigh (preferred)
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
· Current notary or willing to obtain - preferred but not required.
Physical and Mental Demands:
· The employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
· The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
· The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
· The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and
the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
· Work is primarily performed in an office setting where the noise level is usually moderate.
· This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets,
and fax machines.
Position Type/Hours:
This is a full-time position generally working Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Occasionally additional hours may be necessary to accomplish job responsibilities.
