Position Overview:

The Business Development Manager - Advanced Resin is responsible for driving growth and profitability of the assigned product category by collaborating closely with Product Management, Commercial and Technical Teams, Operations, Procurement, and Suppliers. This role serves as the technical expert on Advanced Resins (including pDCPD, Epoxy, Curatives, Urethanes, etc.) and provides training to internal teams to strengthen customer relationships, support new business development, and ensure long-term organizational success.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute an annual business development plan to drive revenue, margin growth, and market share in Advanced Resins.
  • Recommend pricing strategies and identify opportunities to improve profitability and competitiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships; serve as a trusted technical and commercial partner.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to align on strategies, capabilities, and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales, Technical, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to optimize inventory, reduce costs, and improve logistics.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers and commercial teams; participate in customer visits to deliver solutions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs, seminars, and tools to enable commercial teams.
  • Research and analyze market trends and competitive activity; translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Represent Composites One at industry events, trade shows, and trade associations.

Expected Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, technical sales, B2B marketing, composites, or chemical engineering roles with a focus on Advanced Resins.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Composites or Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record of commercial success and technical expertise in resins (pDCPD, Epoxy, Curatives, Urethanes).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective presenter and trainer.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build trust and relationships across customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn and utilize internal platforms (e.g., Incorta, SAP).

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the composites industry.
  • Familiarity with supplier strategies and OEM relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support team members.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training programs.

Travel:

  • This position requires routine travel (up to 70%), locally, nationally, and internationally, to visit customers, engage with suppliers, and attend industry trade shows.

The annual base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000. The actual pay will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
