With a strong commitment to quality, the Project Manager role is a key contributor responsible for leading and delivering engineering projects from concept through completion for client customers (OEMs). This role serves as the primary liaison between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and clients, ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and alignment across all stakeholders. The Project Manager leverages engineering and program management expertise, innovative thinking, and critical problem-solving skills to drive projects forward, improve process efficiencies, and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple medical device product development projects of varying scope and complexity, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- Foster a collaborative environment by working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
- Apply innovative and critical thinking to develop solutions for new products, design services, and process improvements.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing project updates, technical guidance, and leading presentations.
- Review and understand customer requirements and preliminary specifications, participate in technical discussions and assist in developing and quoting a detailed product development plan.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, CAD (SolidWorks) and other relevant engineering software for project management, technical reviews, customer communications, and internal documentation.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with ISO 13485, 13471, and QMS CFR regulations. Possess a strong working knowledge of Design Control Regulation
- Continuously evaluate and enhance existing processes to improve operational efficiency, project performance, and to generate value for Needletech and its client customers.
- Manage and monitor revenue generation for assigned projects using specified financial reporting systems such as Power BI, and time management software.
- Lead cross-functional meetings through all phases of product development..
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years’ project management experience in design/manufacturing (medical device industry required).
- Strong collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools. (PMP Certification preferred)
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, QMS CFR, and related standards
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Primarily office-based with occasional remote work and client site visits.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting/carrying (up to 25 lbs.) in compliance with ergonomic standards.
- Use of standard office equipment and safety gear as required.
