Team Leader Maintenance III – Electrician, Mechatronic

2nd Shift

New Bern, NC / Full-time

Your responsibilities

The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for balancing the workload and ensuring the performance and effectiveness of their maintenance crew during the assigned shift, while also performing some of the same tasks as team members. They serve as the primary communication link between the Maintenance Supervisor or Module Leader and the crew, ensuring clear, timely, and streamlined communication for pass-downs, escalations, and coordination across the department and Value Stream.

·       Places the Safety of the members of their team at top of all priorities.

·       Trains, coaches & mentors team members on safe work practices to ensure the safety of each team member.

·       Follow safety requirements as they pertain to work performed (Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Arc Flash, etc.)

·       Ensures team members are compliant with required PPE during daily work.

·       Initiates safety talks/discussions with their team members.

·       Ensure all safety devices on equipment are functioning properly.

·       Actively involves his/her associates in 5S activities; performs 5S process confirmations and LPC's

·       Facilitates communication- horizontally and laterally.

·       Manage the workload of the team to execute the work planned for the shift while addressing equipment breakdowns. Ensure that team resources are properly utilized.

·       Awareness of Value Stream goals (KPI’s) and understands/executes what is necessary to achieve targeted results.

·       Possess the knowledge and skills to meet all of the expectations of a Maintenance Technician Level III.

·       Follow up on team member work with the customer to test and ensure that the equipment is functioning to expectations.

·       Proficient computer skills - SAP PM Module, Excel (including data analysis / charts).

·       Initiate and Lead Root Cause Analysis events for significant equipment or process failures. Drive the RCA to completion of corrective actions.

·       Ensure that each team member completely and accurately fills out work orders in SAP for all work performed with accurate findings, troubleshooting steps and corrective actions taken.

·       Ensure that team members properly record any parts or materials that are removed from the MRO storeroom.

·       Complete the shift pass down log at the end of each shift to summarize the highlights of the shift activities.

·       Occasionally analyze, discuss, and solve complex maintenance problems with sub-contractors and suppliers to avoid supply shortages and factory shutdowns

·       Support root cause analysis with maintenance supervisor/Module leader, LPO and reliability engineers

·       Initiate spare parts purchases

 

Your profile

·       Associate degree (Advanced Manufacturing or similar field) –

·       7-10 Years of Experience (Technical Manufacturing Environment) – Required

·       5-7 Years of Experience (Leadership) – Required

·       Must have a good understanding of the factory and environmental safety.

·       Must have knowledge of machine controls.

·       Strong communication skills with internal associates and vendors.

·       Must be able to handle pressure, interruptions and meet deadlines.

·       Any of the above requirements/qualifications may be waived for the successful candidate.

Your Pay & Benefits

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.

 Benefits offered include the following:

·        Wellness Plan that allows participating employees to earn lower medical care premiums.

·        401(k) Retirement Plan starting on the first day of the calendar month following 30 days of service.  The plan provides a fully vested 100% employer match on the first 4% of compensation contributed and also includes an annual employer-funded profit sharing contribution dependent on company profitability.

·        Two weeks of paid vacation for all non-temporary status new hires below Director level positions. Vacation entitlement increases based on years of service with BSH.

·        Unlimited paid vacation for all Director and above level positions.

·        The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).

·        40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).

·        12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).

·        Adoption Reimbursement Program, Perks at Work, and BSH Employee Purchase Program.

·        BSH provides ongoing product training, uniforms, computer tablet, cell phone and a company vehicle for eligible positions.
