Duration: Ongoing / Permanent full-time Salary range: $129,464 - $142,665 + 12% superannuation and leave loading About the team This role sits within the Digital, Technology and Innovation Division in the Data Governance and Analytics team. Your responsibilities will include Leading the development and implementation of predictive models and algorithms to support strategic and operational decision-making across NSWTA Take ownership of identifying, evaluating, deploying and managing AI use cases to ensure their ethical, scalable, and strategically aligned deployment across the organisation. Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to spearhead the rollout and ethical use of analytics and AI solutions, driving organisational innovation and enhancing productivity throughout the agency. Develop tools and processes to assess the effectiveness of data management, analytic and AI tools to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement. Work with cross-functional teams to discover actionable insights, support experimentation, and communicate findings that improve business outcomes. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Advanced Data Science Expertise: Proficiency in machine learning, AI techniques, and statistical modeling (e.g., clustering, decision trees, regression). Programming and Technical skills: Experience with advanced scripting and object-oriented programming languages used in data science applications. Applied Statistics and Data Management: Strong foundation in applied statistics, data cleansing, enrichment, and transformation across large datasets. Strategic Thinking and Problem solving: Ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and design innovative solutions that align with business needs. Qualifications and sector knowledge: Tertiary qualifications in data science, IT, or equivalent experience, with knowledge of public sector governance and ethical AI deployment. Salary Grade 09/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $129,464 base plus superannuation
