Key Requirements for Fire Alarm & Security Systems Instructor:
- 3+ years as a Fire Alarm Technician, Security Systems Technician, or Low Voltage Specialist
- Proven experience with fire alarm panel programming and security system installation
- Deep understanding of NFPA 72, NFPA 101, and local fire codes
- Fire alarm systems mastery - installation, programming, testing (Simplex, Edwards, Silent Knight, Notifier)
- Security systems expertise - intrusion detection, access control, CCTV
- Battle-tested troubleshooting skills developed through years of field work
- Code compliance and inspection procedures knowledge
- Blueprint interpretation and system design experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- NICET certification valued
- Teaching experience NOT required - we provide complete instructor development
