Key Responsibilities for Fire Alarm & Security Systems Instructor:

Key Requirements for Fire Alarm & Security Systems Instructor:

  • 3+ years as a Fire Alarm Technician, Security Systems Technician, or Low Voltage Specialist
  • Proven experience with fire alarm panel programming and security system installation
  • Deep understanding of NFPA 72, NFPA 101, and local fire codes
  • Fire alarm systems mastery - installation, programming, testing (Simplex, Edwards, Silent Knight, Notifier)
  • Security systems expertise - intrusion detection, access control, CCTV
  • Battle-tested troubleshooting skills developed through years of field work
  • Code compliance and inspection procedures knowledge
  • Blueprint interpretation and system design experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • NICET certification valued
  • Teaching experience NOT required - we provide complete instructor development
