The main mandate of the Supply Planning Manager temporary role is to develop, maintain, and monitor the execution of the production and distribution plan using the SAP-IBP tool, to achieve service level and profitability targets for Agropur’s Fresh category. This position requires close collaboration with other functions of the S&OP process (Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Customer Collaboration) as well as with cross-functional teams (Production, Finance, Logistics).

What this role involves:

  • This is a temporary 15-month position

  • Lead and be accountable for the supply review activities as part of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.

  • Using the SAP-IBP tool, own and develop the production and distribution plan for the Fresh category to maximize customer service levels at the lowest possible cost for the cooperative.

  • Manage short- and long-term gap between sales forecast and production forecast by leading decision making aligned to the Fresh Category’s objectives.

  • Provide medium- and long-term visibility on capacity utilization to Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Sales teams, and propose supply chain optimization plans to increase sales volumes, maximize service levels, and improve profitability for the Fresh category.

  • Monitor key supply chain performance indicators and develop continuous improvement plans (e.g. service level, schedule adherence, production plan attainment).

  • Represents S&OP team in new product launch teams and ensure appropriate plans are in place to support launches and minimize risks.

  • Define technological needs and improvements to supply planning tools in collaboration with the Business Process Improvement and Information Technology teams.

  • Lead, engage, and develop a high-performing team of planning coordinators, ensuring effective resource allocation, training, and skills development to meet departmental goals and objectives.

What you need to join our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance)

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Supply Planning role

  • Experience working in a CPG environment or manufacturing environment

  • Strong problem solving as well as strategic thinking skills

  • Ability to benchmark best practices and drive a culture of continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, planning and inventory management methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.

  • Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the supply planning process.

  • Exceptional change management skills in terms of adopting and leveraging tools and technology

  • Proven ability to successfully operate in a fast paced, demanding environment

  • Proven ability to develop and build high performing teams and strong cross-functional stakeholder relationships

  • APICS and Six Sigma Certifications are a plus.

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
