Test Automation Engineer
12-month fixed term contract, potential to be extended

About the role
As our new Test Automation Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in developing robust regression tests for our ‘TrackR’ business application which is crucial in the management of our trains. You have a key focus on unit, integration, and environment-level testing.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to use AI-assisted tools to streamline code creation and improve efficiency. This role also involves establishing scalable automation practices to support future test coverage expansion by the development team. Additional duties may be assigned based on skills and classification.
About you
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Must have 5+ years’ experience as a Test Automation Engineer or equivalent position
Proven experience writing and executing functional, non-functional automated test cases
Established experience working closely with developers
Demonstrated experience in Test automation (unit and integration), using xUnit, Shouldly, Moq, AutoFixture, Bogus, Docker, Postman, Newman and other supporting libraries
Deep understanding of automation testing best practice
Tertiary qualifications in IT or related field (highly desirable)
Remuneration for this position is commensurate to the successful candidate’s aligned skills and experience to the position.

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2023 / Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2023).
