Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for Allied Health Clinical Educator (Social Worker) to join our growing team on a part-time (0.6EFT) ongoing basis.

 

The Allied Health Clinical Educator (Social Worker) plays a pivotal role in supporting and developing a skilled social work workforce. Working within the Best Practice Clinical Learning Environment (BPCLE) framework, this position focuses on facilitating student placements, supporting graduates, and delivering professional development opportunities for social work clinicians. This position contributes to building placement capacity, strengthening education programs and embedding evidence-based practice.

The role of the Allied Health Clinical Educator (Social Worker) is:

  • Facilitate and coordinate clinical experience programs for undergraduate and postgraduate social work students.
  • Provide professional and clinical support for students, graduates and clinicians, ensuring education is aligned with the BPCLE framework.
  • Develop and deliver education and professional development plans in consultation with the Social Work Manager.
  • Support clinicians in providing quality learning experiences, including advancing clinical education workshops.
  • Facilitate capacity building for student placement provision and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  •  A Bachelor or qualifying Masters of Social Work with eligibility for AASW membership.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development in education or clinical education.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative and ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in evidence-based social work clinical services, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent organisational and digital skills with a commitment to quality improvement.
