The Music Teacher position could be full time or part time depending on the candidate's availability. Full -time could include Band, Choir, Liturgical Music Direction and other duties as assigned by the principal.

To support the school’s philosophy, goals, and objectives
To create music programs conducive to learning, personal growth, and moral development
To motivate students to develop knowledge and skills in accordance with each pupil’s ability
To establish effective relationships with staff, students, and parents
To be present and available at required times before and after school
To collaborate in shared responsibilities
Performance Responsibilities:
Establish a schedule of music instruction and activities for each grade level
Develop and implement a curriculum that emphasizes the teaching of music conceptually in
the three educational domains:
Cognitive: concepts and understanding of melody, rhythm, form, tempo, dynamics, tone color, and harmony
Affective: appreciation for music through discriminating judgment
Psychomotor: singing, listening, movement, and playing instruments (i.e. song flute)
3. Select music that supports the unique Catholic identity of the school and which conforms to the age and ability of students
Prepare progress reports and report cards for each student
Arrange the physical environment (seating, lighting, bulletin boards, etc.) to make it
conducive to music instruction
Maintain an inventory of music books, tapes, CDs, videos, rhythm instruments, etc.
Recruit students to participate in the children’s choir
Prepare music for school Masses and paraliturgies as needed
Provide accompaniment at school and parish liturgies
Rehearse with each classroom the songs to be used in upcoming school liturgies
Assist classroom teachers with lesson integration or special music units as needed
Confer with the classroom teacher on student progress and/or behavior problems

Salary range - $33K - 55K
