Manager, Alumni Workforce Strategy
The target hiring range for this position is $75,662.75-$82,338.88.
Position Summary:
The Manager of Alumni Workforce Strategy leads the design, execution, and continuous improvement of processes that connect alumni to career advancement, professional development, and workforce mobility opportunities. This role sits at the intersection of strategic planning, process innovation, and alumni services. The manager will act as a systems thinker—improving alumni engagement, developing scalable solutions, and helping Nightingale College become a national leader in alumni workforce development.
Role and Responsibilities:
Process Strategy & Optimization
- Analyze current alumni-facing processes (e.g., data collection, career services intake, employer matching, mentorship) and identify gaps.
- Redesign or refine workflows to support career mobility, credential advancement, and location-based job networks.
- Develop and implement scalable, repeatable systems aligned with long-term strategic goals.
Strategic Initiative Planning
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver workforce-aligned alumni programs and services.
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritize initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and alumni demand.
- Track initiative progress using KPIs; report findings and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Alumni Engagement & Feedback Loop
- Lead alumni journey mapping projects to better understand the barriers and motivators to career growth.
- Build engagement mechanisms outside of surveys (e.g., focus groups, coaching cohorts, employer advisory boards).
- Serve as a key liaison with career services, workforce partners, and employer engagement teams.
Technology & Data Enablement
- Partner with IT and data analytics to identify, implement, and optimize tools that support alumni workforce advancement.
- Leverage CRM and analytics platforms to automate communication, measure program effectiveness, and monitor alumni outcomes.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Work with faculty, career services, marketing, and employer relations to create seamless pathways for alumni to advance in the healthcare field.
- Collaborate on initiatives such as upskilling pipelines, alumni mentorship, and relocation support programs tied to regional networks.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Establish a robust system of metrics to track alumni engagement, workforce transitions, program usage, and employer satisfaction.
- Produce dashboards and insights to support strategic decision-making and grant reporting.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years in project management, alumni engagement, workforce development, or higher education strategy
- Demonstrated success improving business processes or program effectiveness
- Strong data literacy and comfort working with dashboards, CRMs, or process automation tools
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing change across departments
Preferred:
- Master’s degree (MBA)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience working in health education or nursing education
All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
