SGI Global is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to support FEMA's National Disaster & Emergency Management University (NDEMU) Independent Study Program (ISP) in Emmitsburg, Maryland. This is a full-time, on-site position (with episodic telework as approved) supporting FEMA's distance learning mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Manager in overseeing ISP operations and contract execution.
  • Act as Program Manager during absences, ensuring seamless continuity of operations.
  • Manage day-to-day activities, including student transcript processing, account reconciliation, and group verification requests.
  • Track task progress, prepare administrative documentation, and support program reporting.
  • Provide courteous, timely customer service to students, educational institutions, and stakeholders via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Support maintenance and annual updates of SOPs and program documentation.
  • Ensure team performance aligns with FEMA standards and ISP requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of project management or related administrative experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to track and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience providing customer service in remote or distance-based environments.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience supporting federal training, education, or emergency management programs.
  • Familiarity with FEMA Independent Study systems and processes.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience.
