Assistant Community Manager (Bi-lingual Spanish/English)
We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of an elderly resident community. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, patience, and must be able to work well with people from different backgrounds, ensuring effective support for our senior resident population.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide outstanding customer service to residents, families, and vendors with professionalism and patience.
• Assist with leasing, move-ins, and renewals; conduct tours and explain leasing terms clearly.
• Support property manager with day-to-day operations including compliance, documentation, and resident relations.
• Handle resident concerns promptly and empathetically, ensuring positive outcomes and solutions.
• Maintain accurate resident files, reports, and records with high attention to detail.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to ensure timely completion.
• Assist in enforcing community rules and policies in a respectful and consistent manner.
• Support compliance with HUD/Section 8 requirements (experience preferred, training available).
• Communicate fluently in English and Spanish with residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications:
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) – required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills – non-negotiable.
• Patience and empathy when working with elderly residents – non-negotiable.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and procedures.
• Professional, approachable, and team-oriented demeanor.
• Previous leasing experience – preferred.
• Experience with Section 8 or HUD housing programs – preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software – preferred, willing to train.

Education
High school or GED. This position requires the ability to read and write English fluently, the ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions and the ability to understand and perform all on-site resident management software functions.
Professional Experience
A minimum of three years of experience in residential property management at a affordable housing section 8 community
Attendance/Travel Requirements
The position requires the ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year. Due to the property staffing limitations, it is extremely critical that individuals be able to work their scheduled hours on a consistent basis and, if necessary, overtime hours when requested. The position requires the ability to serve on-call, as scheduled or as necessary. Travel may be required at times to attend various owner gatherings either in the general vicinity of the associates home property, or in another state. You must also be able to attend certain resident events that are held after hours.
Computer Skills
Minimum of basic knowledge of computers
Ability to use Outlook and OneSite/Yardi
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suites
Minimum of basic Internet knowledge
Physical Demands
Must be capable of physically accessing all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities. Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry or maneuver weights of up to 50lbs. independently and 100 lbs. with assistance.

This role is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week. It has an anticipated hourly pay rate of $26.44 an hour for a new employee depending on a number of relevant factors including individuals’ experience, skills, abilities, client/property or company budgetary limitations/guidelines, and other job-related company and market considerations. This position may be eligible to receive discretionary and/or performance-based bonuses on a spot or annual basis, which are variable depending on individual merit/performance, budgetary limitations, company performance, and other job-related factors. this Full-time position (30+ hours/week) is eligible for 2 weeks paid vacation, 3 weeks sick and related leave, 11 paid holidays, and health & welfare benefits as outlined on the Company’s website.
