JOB SUMMARY

Provides primary and/or specialty care to patients following established standards and practices in collaboration with physician(s) in the hospital setting, physician office setting, or both.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Nurse to join its Electrophysiology service line! Cardiology Group, the most trusted Cardiology group between Memphis and Saint Louis, is located in Saint Francis's Heart Hospital and serves nearly 600 patients a week.

Cape Cardiology Group is home to experts in cardiac care and provides a range of services including cardiac rehabilitation, cardiovascular diagnostics and testing, and cardiovascular treatments and procedures. Enjoy access to a full-range Cardiovascular Services line (CT Surgery, Vascular Surgery, EP, Echo Cardiology, Interventionalists, Invasive, and Non-Invasive Cardiologists).

Certification & Licensures:

-Medical license in the State Basic Life Support (BLS)

-Must also maintain a Controlled Substance license for the State of Missouri and Federal DEA. 

- Current license as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse by the State of Missouri.

-Must maintain active medical privileges and medical memberships. 

Responsibilities:

Join a practice of 14 physicians (3 Electrophysiologists, 6 Interventionalists, 5 Non-Invasive Cardiologists), and 13 Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers.

  • Work schedule: M-F 8:00am 4:30pm outpatient clinic

  • Manage pre- and post-procedure assessments

  • Support hospital rounding and follow-up

  • Provide timely access for urgent or same-day consults

  • Assist with device clinic workflows and remote monitoring

  • Offer education and management for patients with chronic rhythm conditions

  • EMR: EPIC

Education:

-Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved advanced practice nurse program.

Experience:

- Three years' experience as an advanced practice nurse preferred. 

- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment.

- Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public.

- Ability to maintain quality control standards and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations.

- Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions.

- Ability to learn and efficiently utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs.
