What will you do?

  • With work locations all over the city and most assignments easily accessible by transit, our Clerks and Administrative Assistants perform tasks like data entry, records management, customer service, reception, taking and preparing meeting minutes, and many others
  • Successful candidates will become part of Staff Support (internal staffing pool) and will be assigned to various placements based on the needs and operations of the organization

  • Completion of Grade 12 OR an appropriate administrative certificate program
  • Minimum 1 year diversified administrative experience including but not limited to reception, data entry, call centre, meeting minutes and information processing

Skills required for success:

  • Demonstrated proficiency using Google and Microsoft Office applications (assessment will be conducted)
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience using one or more of these programs: POSSE, SAP Ariba, SAP PO Creation, SAP MIGO, SAP Plant Maintenance, SAP Time  Entry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Willingness, ability and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and responsibilities is required

Conditions of employment:

  • A Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton may be required for certain assignments
  • Shortlisted applicants will be tested in computer skills prior to being invited for an interview

Hours of Work: Up to 8 hours per day, up to 5 days per week (may include weekends). These positions are on an on-call basis. Hours of work are not guaranteed and will vary based on business needs.

Salary Range: $22.508 - $27.813 (Hourly)
