Bravera is hiring for a Systems Administrator I to be located in Dickinson, Bismarck or Fargo, ND.
The Systems Administrator I – Cloud Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of Bravera Holdings Corp.’s IT infrastructure, with a specialized emphasis on Microsoft 365 services, Microsoft security platforms, and identity management. This role supports desktop, server, and network systems, while ensuring secure and efficient use of cloud-based productivity and security tools such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and Entra ID. The position also provides Help Desk support and contributes to strategic IT initiatives across Bravera and its subsidiaries.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
- Infrastructure & Cloud Support: Effectively manages Microsoft 365 services and core IT systems, including Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID, demonstrating strong communication and technical leadership.
- Customer Service: Provides prompt, courteous, and professional support for IT and Microsoft 365-related issues via Help Desk calls and tickets.
- Team Collaboration: Promotes teamwork, mentors staff, and contributes to a collaborative and secure digital workplace.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer, configure, and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft security platforms such as Defender and Sentinel, as well as identity services via Entra ID.
- Assist with the implementation, installation, upgrade, and support of desktop, server, database, and network systems.
- Provide technical support to internal customers, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Lead small site deployments and assist in managing critical datacenter infrastructure.
- Monitor and apply patches, antivirus protections, and updates across systems and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Research and recommend new technologies and Microsoft 365 features, including security enhancements, to meet evolving business needs.
- Serve as technical lead on assigned IT and cloud-based projects, including planning and documentation.
- Maintain security, compliance, and governance settings within Microsoft 365 and broader IT systems, with a focus on Defender and Sentinel.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures. Provide training to employees on their use.
- Support Business Continuity, Access Control, Incident Response, and Vendor Management procedures.
- Maintain positive vendor relationships and coordinate with support contacts to resolve technical issues.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in handling employee and customer data.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, and report suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.
- Contribute to the overall success of Bravera through strategic IT support and collaboration.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Assist with desktop system support and integration with Microsoft 365 applications and security tools.
- Participate in cross-training and knowledge-sharing within the IT department.
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field.
- Associate’s degree with three additional years of directly related experience.
Experience
- Minimum of three years of experience in system administration and Microsoft 365 services, including security platforms such as Defender and Sentinel, and Entra ID, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including user and license management, security and compliance settings, and service configuration.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Experience with desktop, server, and network systems, including patch and antivirus management.
- Understanding of Azure AD, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, email security, and data governance.
Communication & Collaboration
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with users, technicians, and vendors.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language.
Professionalism & Teamwork
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, provide excellent end-user support, and uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards.
