Summary/Objective
The Volunteer Coordinator assists the Director of Volunteer Services with the management and administration of the Volunteer Services program. Schedules volunteer activities from recruitment and orientation through training and active service, and also oversees all volunteer recordkeeping.

- Manages the entire new adult and student volunteer onboarding process with a high degree of community engagement to ensure all volunteers meet criteria and complete all documentation to remain compliant with policies and procedures.
- Oversees the day-to-day management of all volunteer scheduling and secures substitutes for volunteers when needed. Provides direct supervision of the Information Desk and ICU/Surgery volunteer staff.
- Oversees the scheduling and implementation of orientation classes and coordinates on-the-job training for all new volunteers.
- Responsible for volunteer electronic database and maintaining all required volunteer education and health documentation to remain compliant with all policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the Director of Volunteer Services to assist the Gift Shop Manager as needed. Volunteer Coordinator responsibilities will remain the priority. Coordinate social media marketing with the Director of Volunteer Services so that it compliments the overall marketing plan. Assist the Gift Shop Manager at Market each year at manager’s discretion.
- Serves as Acting Director in the absence of the Director of Volunteer Services by supervising other staff members as required and overseeing all departmental operations.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field
2-4 years related experience
