Responsibilities:

The Jorgensen Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic Youth & Family Program Director. The ideal candidate has a passion for impacting the lives of the community. A successful director will be a detail-oriented, effective listener, strong team builder and have a passion for serving others. 

  • Lead: Direct and supervise program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
  • Develop: Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations.
  • Grow: Establish new program activities and expand programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. 

Requirements:

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as: 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but will consider an equivalent combination of education/work experience.
  • One to two years related leadership experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm.
  • An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Ability to address large groups of people.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse Prevention training, and all other required training as specified by your supervisor.

 Salary: Exempt, Full time $45,000-$47,000 annually
