JOB DESCRIPTION 

 

DEPARTMENT: Testing                                                                                                                                                                                          FLSA:  Non-Exempt

 

REPORTS TO: Production Floor Manager                                                                                                                                                                                                                  EFFECTIVE DATE:   9/24/2025

 

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for testing and inspecting all assemblies before leaving the facility in order to assure quality products are being delivered.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect and identify quality issues, flaws and work performed by assemblers.
  • Test products for continuity to electrical signate passage utilizing continuity testers, data signal verification testers and high potential (hipot) testers.
  • Use hand tools and power tools before closing housing unit after performing visual inspection of products.
  • Tie up completed work and wrap for shipping.
  • Responsible for ensuring order target dates are met.
  • Print required reports for high potential (hipot) test and ETL (Electrical Testing Laboratories) certification.
  • Report items as finished in the inventory system so product document is reported and completed.
  • Read a ruler for positioning of shrink.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to follow instructions on an order.
  • Ability to sit for periods of time and remain focused.
  • Good reading, writing, and basic mathematical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequently required to stand.
  • Frequently required to walk.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
