Description
The Recovery Coach Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Recovery Coaching program and providing supervision for Recovery Coaches at Victory Programs. They will provide support for certified Recovery Coaches, as well as those seeking certification throughout the agency. The Supervisor will identify publicly as a person in recovery who is now using that experience to provide individual and group support to clients and families receiving services through Victory Programs at our various locations. The role includes, at times, maintaining a caseload as well. This individual will report to the Director of Recovery Services and have very close contact with Program Directors, Clinical Directors, and other staff members.
Essential Functions:
- Provide supervision to both PRSC Peer Recovery Coaches and Certified Recovery Coaches and maintain an effective Recovery Coaching Team.
- Identify, recruit, and partner with certified Recovery Coaches and those who might be interested throughout the agency.
- Train and orient new Recovery Coaches regarding policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Support, develop, and coach Recovery Coaches and other peer workers.
- Develop and share a resource guide for Recovery Coaches and their direct supervisors.
- Work in collaboration with team members, clients, and families to implement person-centered and family-centered, recovery-oriented, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care
- Provide constructive feedback for Recovery Coaches in formal group and individual sessions and informally with check-ins.
- Develop effective relationships within the organization and across the community to ensure client success
- Manage, in partnership with agency leadership, standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments.
- Maintain caseload of recoverees as needed, facilitate group work, and individualized Recovery Coach services supporting multiple pathways to recoverees.
- Serve as a recovery guide and role model in the management of recovery and assist individuals in identifying and overcome barriers to recovery.
- Connect clients with recovery support services while encouraging hope, optimism, and health
- Maintains competency in areas of responsibility to ensure the quality of care. Provide education to staff, clients, and families on the recovery process.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment supportive of Victory Programs' mission and goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attend supervision with the Recovery Division Director or their designee
Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate is someone who has accepted their substance use history, has learned to live with and manage the daily challenges of recovery, and has attained a level of personal growth and healing that gives them the understanding, insight and motivation to help others.
- Current Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) certification required, and completion of Recovery Coach Supervision within 6 months of hire.
- High school or equivalent.
- Must demonstrate an understanding and belief in the recovery process and Recovery Oriented Systems of Care model.
- Must have knowledge of multiple pathways to recovery support systems, including but not limited to 12-step support groups, faith-based groups, harm reduction services, SMART Recovery, Life Ring; and providing direct service.
- Ability and willingness to share personal experiences of living with substance use/recovery to help educate, provide emotional support, and offer practical strategies to clients.
- Must be CPR certified (may be obtained upon hire)
- Completed TB screening (may be obtained upon hire)
- Three work related professional references; at least 2 from manager or supervisor.
Position Type: Exempt status, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Flexible)
Salary: $65,000

Upon hire, all staff are entitled to up to: 4 personal days, 160 sick hours, 10 holidays and 3 1/2 weeks of vacation. These figures adjust based on full time or part time status and allocated vacation time increases with length of employment.
