Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our shipping warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will drive standardization, accountability, and performance across all warehouse functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure building and employee safety through regular inspections, compliance, and training.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and adherence to 5S/Lean standards across all warehouse areas.
- Ensure inventory accuracy aligns with IQMS.
- Verify correct stacking methods and proper handling to maintain product quality.
- Eliminate unnecessary or obsolete inventory; monitor for overstocking or underutilized items.
- Manage daily transfers, receipts, and release of inventory in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in order picking and outbound shipments.
- Drive on-time shipment performance and reduce customer pickup wait times.
- Maintain space utilization plans to optimize warehouse layout and flow.
- Eliminate incorrect loads or shipping errors through quality checks and process control.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including shipping accuracy, order timeliness, inventory variances, and space efficiency.
- Ensure all warehouse movements and system entries are completed with 100% accuracy.
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring proper training, attendance, and adherence to company policies.
- Plan for vacation or leave coverage to maintain operational continuity.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse systems (IQMS or similar WMS/ERP) and inventory control procedures.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance through KPIs.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of shipping logistics, space planning, and lean warehouse principles.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Forklift certification and knowledge of OSHA safety standards a plus.
