Join UOW as an Educational Technologist and help shape the future of educational innovation and digital learning and teaching.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with educators and teams across the university to support the design of engaging, inclusive, and innovative learning environments and experiences. You’ll bring your expertise in Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) to advance university-wide educational strategic priorities and enable quality learning, teaching, and curriculum practices.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A relevant tertiary qualification with an educational technology specialisation and/or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Demonstrated awareness of and experience in applying evidence-based TEL principles and best practices, including but not limited to; inclusion, accessibility, pedagogy, UX & UI, relevant pedagogies, etc.
- Demonstrated experience and interest in exploring and adopting innovative technologies and advising of the impact and potential of their use in education.
- High level of analytical skills and the ability to gathering, analyse and report on data to inform recommendations and decisions.
- Experience in designing and developing educational environments and experiences to support online/blended delivery.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and practice in, student-centred approaches to education and design.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with multi-functional teams, and with a range of stakeholders.
- Evidenced problem-solving capabilities and proven ability to work independently, determine and prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
This position is part of the Education Innovation and Enablement unit, which provides strategic and operational leadership across UOW’s educational innovation portfolio, with a focus on curriculum transformation, technology-enhanced learning, career development learning, and the design and enablement of high-quality learning and teaching: experiences, environments and digital technologies. The unit consists of cross-functional teams of specialists, integrating expertise in learning design, educational platforms, and pedagogical capability. Together, these teams advance strategic institutional transformation by shaping the development, delivery, and support of learning, teaching, and curriculum across multiple modes.
