We are seeking motivated individuals with exceptional interpersonal skills who are looking to make a difference by providing out of hours support and front of house service at University Student Residences. These positions provide support for the overall operation of the Student Residence during weekend and night shifts, to support the wellbeing and security of residential communities and residences.

A wide range of backgrounds lend themselves to this role, (including but not limited to, hotels and hospitality, security, youth work, education, airline/travel, and postgraduate research). The key element is that you genuinely enjoy working with a wide range of people, you can think on your feet and are happy to work overnight shifts (especially mid-week) and weekends.

Key tasks include reception and administration tasks, responding to Resident complaints and issues; undertaking rounds of the interior and exterior to detect operational, maintenance, WHS and conduct issues; first responder to critical incidents and reporting/following up any issues identified.

These positions are out of normal working hours in rostered shifts from four (4) hours and up to ten (10) hours to ensure coverage 6pm to 8am Monday to Friday and 24-hour coverage Saturday and Sunday.  To be considered for the role, you must have availability to work overnight for mid-week shifts and weekends.

There is potential for an increase in hours, up to full-time opportunities, in the future as circumstances vary within the existing team. This role can also lead to progression into other roles within the Student Residences team.

Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Clearance. Further details can be found in the position description.
