We are seeking a high-performing professional to lead all aspects of IT resiliency, recovery planning, and compliance execution for Zoetis globally. This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle for disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance activities, including quarterly recovery test exercises, governance of business-critical applications and site recovery plans, and continuous process improvement.

This role will collaborate with ZTD teams to execute parallel workstreams, and drive automation and efficiency in compliance and recovery operations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Infrastructure Compliance
• Implement IT controls and align with SDLC and infrastructure qualification requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify compliance gaps, and define remediation plans.
• Oversee compliance deliverables, consulting, and audit/inspection readiness for ZTD.
• Lead quarterly Azure IaaS VM and Network Switch compliance reviews, including sampling, analysis, reporting, and follow-ups.
• Support IT SOX audits, deviation/CAPA management, and participate in CAB governance meetings. 40 %
Disaster Recovery Planning & Testing
• Own quarterly recovery test lifecycle: multi-week planning, execution, evidence capture, and formal post-test reporting.
• Lead closure of Lessons Learned actions and drive continuous improvement.
• Guide creation, maintenance, and review of Application Recovery Plans for ~1,500 deployments, including 300+ high-criticality applications, leveraging ServiceNow-based workflows.
• Direct annual review and approval of Site IT Recovery Plans (SITRPs) for 50+ sites; manage new plan creation and global plan maintenance.
• Plan and conduct tabletop reviews and recovery testing for Edge Sites.
• Ensure timely data intake from application teams and manage follow-up for externally managed systems. 40 %
Continuous Improvement & Automation
• Champion automation and process improvements (e.g., recovery plan data entry automation, evidence collection) to reduce cycle time and backlog.
• Establish and drive closure of Lessons Learned action items with measurable follow-through. 10 %
Team Leadership & Coverage
• Supervise, onboard, and mentor additional analysts as approved, ensuring succession planning and continuity.
• Design and operate parallel workstreams for testing, plan reviews, and compliance activities to reduce bottlenecks and maintain coverage during peak workload periods and absences. 5 %
Measures of Success (KPIs)
• % of applications/sites with current, approved recovery plans; cycle time to update plans.
• Quarterly DR test execution rate, evidence completeness, and closure of Lessons Learned actions.
• On-time completion of Azure IaaS and Network Switch compliance reviews; audit findings reduction.
• SOX/Deviation/CAPA items closed on time, CAB participation and action turnaround.
• Backlog reduction and improved response rates from application teams. 5 %


ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Frequent collaboration with application owners, site IT leads, ZTD Infrastructure, and third-party vendors supporting DR services.

Supervision

Direct supervision of 1 potential ZICC IT Infrastructure Compliance and Disaster Recovery Analyst; scope includes onboarding and leadership of additional analysts as approved.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• 3+ years in pharmaceutical or biotech industries supporting IT initiatives (preferred).
• 3+ years hands-on experience supporting regulatory compliance for Data Center infrastructure systems (life sciences preferred).
• 3+ years’ experience with business resiliency planning and management, with focus on IT systems recovery.
• Experience with ServiceNow-based governance workflows, Veeva Vault document management, Azure cloud governance, and IDAM tool qualification.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Indicate the technical skills required and/or preferred, as applicable.
• Solid understanding of OS technologies (Windows Server, Linux), storage solutions, virtualization (VMware vSphere ESX, vCenter, HCI), and networking concepts.
• Proficiency in enterprise data protection, resiliency, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with compliance standards/regulations: SOX, FDA, GAMP, NIST.
• Project management skills for planning, scheduling, and team coordination.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strategic thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate in an unstructured environment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) mandatory.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Travel: 5%
Work Hours: Ability to overlap up to 4 hours with US Eastern Standard Time. Extended hours may be required during quarterly disaster recovery test execution, peak compliance periods, or major incidents. Flexibility for urgent follow-ups and coverage during absences is essential.
