SOSi is seeking a mission-driven Engineering Test Bed & Cyber Hardware Lifecycle Manager to power the future of secure, scalable IT infrastructure at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam. In this pivotal role, you’ll architect and sustain cutting-edge test environments and manage the full lifecycle of cyber hardware assets—delivering resilient solutions that support USINDOPACOM’s Command and Control (C2) strategies and over 5,000 users across the Pacific theater.

Responsibilities:

Hardware Lifecycle Management

  • Establish, control, and maintain hardware baselines, configurations, and services.
  • Ensure Hardware Management is effective in accordance with policy, and all hardware items (devices, software, documentation) are accessible, documented, and managed within Enterprise.
  • Coordinate Hardware Lifecycle support across divisions to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Direct and prioritize hardware requirements, ensuring timely remediation of issues.
  • Identify Hardware issues; analyze and formulate appropriate solutions to include cost effectiveness and future expansion/sustainment.

Market Research and Vendor Engagement

  • Coordinate and Manage Hardware Lifecycle across divisions, departments or teams, and serve alongside a team as primary Enterprise representatives with Vendors and Manufactures.
  • Report, analyze, and manage Hardware improvement opportunities within Enterprise, identifying and formulating cost-effective, scalable solutions.
  • Interface with OEMs to validate new products on Hardware Compatibility Lists (HCL) to ensure integration and functionality of existing solutions, sales cycles, and ability to purchase.
  • Based on market research, contribute to the implementation, documentation, exercise demonstrations or analysis of new or existing capabilities, and/or creation, review and presentation of technical reports, specification sheets, and briefings.

Engineering Test Bed Operations

  • Design and sustain engineering test environments to simulate operational scenarios.
  • Support integration testing for embedded systems and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Document test results and provide recommendations for production deployment.
  • Assist in the analysis, design, development, testing, encoding, integration, documentation, installation, operation, evaluation, maintenance, and improvement of the Enterprise.
  • Develop, design, test, encode, integrate, document, install, operate, evaluate, maintain, and improve Enterprise capabilities, based on Government-specified requirements.
  • Input test data into ticketing system to provide internal status updates and maintain continued external feedback to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) on positive and negative results.

Technical Oversight & Reporting

  • Generate hardware reports and metrics upon request.
  • Contribute to the Technical Library and ensure documentation reflects current standards.
  • Establish, control, and maintain Enterprise Hardware baselines, configurations, and services to include As-builts, network and systems diagrams, and rack elevation diagrams.
  • Interface with team leads and team members to collect, develop, document, and submit status updates via a Weekly Activity Report (WAR).

Operational Support

  • Work with Configuration Manager, Cyber Security, Networks, and Systems team members and learn and understand program policies and processes in each department.
  • Update internal Approved Product List (APL) to include OEM SKU assignment and configuration of equipment and recommend List of Materials (LOM) replacements for comparable parts.
  • Support network management, performance analysis, and service audits.
  • Assist in the monitoring, auditing, and performance analysis of services, including physical server and network equipment currently in production, and log data reports in CMDB.
  • Contribute to Technical Library; when notified of changes, ensure all Technical Library documents reflect revised standards and provide documentation to Configuration Manager.
  • Participate in recurring syncs and reviews of Enterprise Architecture.
Qualifications:
  • Active in-scope Top Secret DoD security clearance with SCI eligibility and a valid U.S. passport.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in hardware lifecycle or systems engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-tempo environments.

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment. 
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. 
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends.
