Phlebotomist na Customer Value Partners

CVP is seeking skilled Phlebotomists to provide critical laboratory services supporting patient care at the VA Central California Health Care System. This contract position involves direct patient care through blood collection, specimen processing, and laboratory support services in a 24/7 healthcare environment serving our nation's veterans.

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages
• Collect, transport, process, and evaluate specimen suitability for testing
• Receive, deliver, and store specimens for all laboratory sections
• Support routine and STAT testing on blood, urine, and other body fluids
• Maintain accurate patient identification and specimen labeling procedures
• Follow strict infection control and safety protocols
• Document care appropriately in medical records per VHA standards

• Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician certificate 
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum 6 months direct patient care experience performing venipunctures in a clinic or hospital setting

Schedule Requirements

• Rotating 8-hour shifts including days, evenings, and nights
• Weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Overtime availability with supervisor approval

Local Contract: 12/1/25-7/28/26

Hourly Pay: $23.16

Health and Welfare Benefits: $5.09/hour (can receive as cash in-lieu of benefits)
