IPS - ABBA Roller is seeking a Mix Operator Technician 4 (1st Shift). This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys repetitive work and is comfortable working on their own in a group environment.  This person is able to understand instructions and is comfortable asking questions whenever necessary. This person understands the importance of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area as outlined in the Employee Handbook or as directed by the Production Supervisor.

  • Adhere to all quality assurance standards and procedures.

  • Achieve daily production goals set by the Production Supervisor and Program Manager.

  • Weigh and measure ingredients according to formulas provided by the lab.

  • Mix compound formulations following written instructions.

  • Maintain inventory levels and order ingredients as needed.

  • Conduct in-process visual inspections to verify correct ingredient weights.

  • Monitor mixing operations to maintain product specifications and identify potential malfunctions.

  • Ensure proper formula traceability and follow batch release procedures (FIFO).

  • Suggest process or manufacturing improvements by submitting Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) forms.

  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and notify maintenance for repairs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Years Experience: 5+ years of experience as a mixer in a rubber manufacturing environment.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and write English and follow detailed router instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with safety guidelines and manufacturing protocols.

Physical Requirements:

  • Good hand-eye coordination and excellent close and distant vision.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. on a regular basis.

  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours per shift.

Training Requirements:

  • On the job training will be conducted on Procedures and Work Instructions from the area of responsibility.
