Join our Team as an Electrical Design Engineering Intern!
The Role:
We’re seeking a motivated Electrical Design Engineering Intern to join our team in Summer 2026! This internship offers hands-on experience in electrical engineering where you’ll work on meaningful projects and gain insight into electrical development for a variety of different electric vehicle systems. You’ll collaborate with the Truck Systems Group of the New Product Development team, as well as mentors and leadership, building skills that will help launch your career!
The position requires a strong technically oriented individual with good communication, a strong ability to work on a team, and a genuine interest in hands-on development engineering.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conceptual development of electro-mechanical systems related to electric vehicle performance, steering, cargo handling, powertrain, and control systems
- Study product requirements and create functional specifications and project schedules for overall system design, build, and validation
- Support prototype builds, troubleshooting, and other hands-on engineering activities
- Collaborate on projects, which might include C, C++, C#, Python, Linux, Android, iOS, PCB design, controllers, and various other electrical hardware
What We’re Looking For:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields of engineering
- Course work in programming languages such as C, C++, C# and Python desired, Embedded Systems
- Basic Electrical design experienced is preferred but not required

What You’ll Get in Return:
Wage - $22.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
