Basic Job Functions:
The Electrical Maintenance Lead position includes but is not limited to being responsible for safely implementing electrical maintenance, demonstrating the qualities of a safety champion, promoting teamwork within the electrical shop, and working closely with their mechanical and operational counterparts to address issues. Routine duties include preventative and predictive maintenance, equipment and safety upgrades, and planning and execution of maintenance outages and downtime. Willing to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nights, holidays, and weekends.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Advanced understanding of electrical theory and programming
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Siemens S7 PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives, and medium voltage power distribution
- Experience with Cold Mill equipment and processes
- Electrical Engineering degree
