POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Specialist – Supply Chain/Technical Designer is responsible for independently managing key aspects of the product development and sourcing lifecycle. This position exercises discretion and independent judgment in creating technical packages, evaluating fit samples, resolving vendor production challenges, and making recommendations that directly impact quality, cost, and delivery performance.

As a subject matter expert, the Senior Specialist provides technical guidance and sourcing insights that influence vendor performance, operational efficiency, and product quality. This role partners with managers, senior managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure business objectives are achieved while contributing to strategic initiatives within the Supply Chain and Technical Services team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and approve comprehensive technical packages (tech packs) to support new product development, ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand strategy, and quality standards.
• Lead and manage fit sessions for assigned product categories, making independent technical recommendations on garment construction, fit adjustments, and vendor compliance.
• Exercise judgment in evaluating vendor performance, providing direction and corrective actions that influence sourcing decisions and long-term vendor relationships.
• Partner cross-functionally with Design, Merchandising, and Production teams to align technical and sourcing requirements with corporate and financial goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape sourcing strategies, assess vendor capabilities, and recommend process improvements that impact efficiency and profitability.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing or production challenges, implementing corrective solutions and escalating significant risks to senior management.
• Analyze and monitor production timelines to anticipate delays, propose solutions, and safeguard on-time product launches.
• Provide strategic input on process optimization and workflow enhancements, contributing to the continuous improvement of sourcing operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Technical Design, Fashion, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in retail apparel sourcing, production, or technical design across multiple product categories.
• Advanced knowledge of garment construction, technical design principles, and supply chain operations.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions that affect cost, quality, and timelines.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with proven success in driving results in a deadline-driven environment.
• Effective communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage global vendor relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and adapt to changing business needs.
