Ramp Department Manager Overview:
Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Ramp Department Manager to lead all ramp operations at Terminal 2, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely aircraft servicing. This role is responsible for enforcing operational policies, managing team performance, maintaining regulatory compliance and optimizing financial outcomes.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

- Develop, review, update, and implement business planning including operational and financial performance
- Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, including coaching, discipline, and recognition
- Mentor employees to build bench strength for promotional opportunities
- Reviews activities, cost operations and forecast data to ensure progression toward station/corporate goals and objectives
- Daily operational tracking of performance, taking immediate action to correct any shortfalls
- Collaborate with the Airport Coordination center and ramp team to ensure process are safe and efficient
- Ensure that personnel adhere to established company and federal safety regulations
- Follow safety regulations, which include the proper use of ground service equipment and wearing proper safety PPE
- Ensure ramp and deice areas are safe and free of Foreign Objects Debris (FOD) and that all ground service equipment is properly maintained
- Prepare incident reports as needed for violations of company policy
- Manage all T2 Ground Service Equipment and track pre-operational inspections
- Work with GSE mechanics to maintain a healthy fleet of ramp equipment
- Any other duties assigned by management
Required Qualifications:
- Two or more years of related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Available to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to obtain an MSP SIDA badge and customs seal
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with managing flexible workforces
- Previous working experience with Deice Operations
- Understanding of metering and throughput of an active weather event
- Bachelor’s or associate degree
Compensation:
Pay range: $65,000 - $70,000 USD annually. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

Work Environment:
This job operates outdoors in all kinds of weather, this includes extreme cold and in all type of precipitation. While working on the deice pads this position will be exposed to the extreme noise of aircrafts arriving and departing.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. This position will be required to occasionally push/pull up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
