Operation HOPE is currently seeking a DATA STRATEGIST to play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive organizational performance and impact. This role is responsible for identifying high-value analytics opportunities, designing and implementing reporting frameworks, and ensuring data solutions align with business objectives. The Data Strategist will partner with stakeholders across the organization to uncover workflow gaps, translate operational goals into KPIs and dashboards, and collaborate with data engineers to deliver robust solutions.
In this role, the strategist will serve as a subject matter expert on data models and reporting capabilities, conducting audits, defining success metrics, and recommending enhancements to reporting methodologies. They will be a trusted advisor to executives and operational teams, helping to resolve bottlenecks, improve workflows, and make data-informed decisions. The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and strong communication skills, enabling them to simplify complex data concepts for non-technical audiences while maintaining a strategic view of how data drives organizational change.
This position requires a blend of analytical acumen, business intelligence experience, and stakeholder engagement, with proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, and Power BI. Candidates with a passion for financial empowerment and a proven track record of using data to deliver strategic insights and operational improvements will thrive in this role.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Identifying the data-analytics problems that offer the greatest opportunities to the organization
- Work with stakeholders to identify gaps in workflows or processes and ideate on MVP and long-term solutions
- Translate operational objectives into clear dashboard logic, KPIs, and delivery requirements
- Collaborate with data engineers to bring client vision to life through effective requirements documentation
- Define success metrics and ensure dashboards align with client business outcomes
- Help executives find answers to their teams’ current bottlenecks
- Conduct data audits and gap analyses to identify opportunities for improved reporting
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership and operations teams
- Help evolve Operation HOPE’s reporting methodology
- Serve as the domain expert on our data model and reporting capabilities
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High aspirations for all people to be successful and empowered financially
- Minimum undergraduate degree or higher in Data/Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Social Sciences or relevant equivalent experience
- Have 3+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence
- Are comfortable picking up new tools or technologies that fit the situation
- Can translate complex business problems into clear, actionable data requirements
- Experience with automating data flows or businesses processes, Power Automate preferred
- Excel at client-facing communication and can present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Understand operational KPIs and how to measure performance, workflow, and intake effectiveness
- Think strategically about how data can drive business decisions and operational improvements
- Have experience with BI tools (Power BI preferred)
- Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail in data validation and QA
- Can identify patterns and insights that others might miss
- Proficient in SQL and Python
