Responsible for providing leadership to Family Preservation Specialist and Paraprofessionals in the following areas; SafeCare and use of Motivational Interviewing, Healthy Relationships and Managing Child Behavior. Responsible for providing ongoing SafeCare coaching for Family Preservation Specialists who are providing in-home services to families. Employee will accompany Family Preservation Specialists on home visits and will provide coaching via modeling, feedback, and consultation. May also carry a minimal caseload of SafeCare Expansion Program cases to provide a range of in-home services to families based upon their unique needs and goals. Travel to Tulsa and surrounding counties including urban and rural. 

Bachelor’s Degree in Social work with two years’ experience in social work field is required.  Master’s Degree in Social Science, is preferred. Must have ability to work with the public, ability to maintain an effective working relationship with agency employees, ability to maintain a professional manner at all times and ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to develop respectful relationships with families. Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office. Including areas outside of Tulsa County.

 

This job is classified as a “safety-sensitive” position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.  Due to the “safety-sensitive” classification, an employee in this position would be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.  Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening.  Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana per the Family & Children’s Services Drug Free Workplace Policy, including possible revocation of a job offer or dismissal from employment.
