Job Summary

The Sr Analyst, Validation Center of Excellence is accountable for performing execution of critical credible challenge activities for the Bread Financial (BFH) Enterprise Risk Organization (ERO). This includes validation of activities performed by the first lines of defense to guard against financial loss and other business risks. As the Sr Analyst, you will support and enable senior leaders and functional experts across BFH to integrate risk management practices into their strategic business plans and day-to-day process responsibilities.

 

Essential Job Functions

• Perform validation of business unit risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) testing. This includes verification that all testing meets ERO policies and standards for quality. - (30%)

• Perform validation of control issue closure to ensure that the issue root cause has been fully remediated in a sustainable way to prevent reoccurrence. This includes verification that all first line issue closure practices and documentation meet ERO policies and standards for quality. - (30%)

• Verify that any customer remediations have been managed appropriately, including verification that populations have been accurately identified and intended remediation is appropriate. - (15%)

• Perform validation of first line metrics and reporting. This includes performing recalculation and data verification where necessary. - (10%)

• Assist the leader of the team with reporting and communicating of team results. Also, ensure that process improvement opportunities are identified and executed against. - (10%)

• Provide mentoring and coaching to more junior associates on the team. - (5%)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in audit, control testing, or risk management in a highly regulated industry (e.g., banking, financial services, healthcare)
