Overview:
In this 10-week specialized program, you will be exposed to Inventory Management and Demand Planning Functions. You will assist the Inventory Management team and be exposed to the fundamentals of forecasting and supply planning.
Inventory Analyst Intern Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn the fundamentals of forecasting, inventory strategies, and supply chain
- Manage and maintain inventory and safety stock to meet inventory goal levels
- Ensure timely and accurate forecasts of customer demand by analyzing forecast variances, orders, and retail sales trend
- Assist in the collection, preparation, and analysis of data
- Participate in internal review meetings with the sales team for collaborative forecasting consensus
Project
Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and present a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preference for a degree in Business, Mathematics and Statistics, or Supply Chain
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be available to work on-site, Monday through Friday
- Able to commit to the full duration of the internship program (10-weeks)
- Thrives in a collaborative and cross-functional setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
- Looking to gain hands-on experience
