The Supply Chain Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a centralized supply chain serving a multi-site healthcare enterprise. This position is responsible for coordinating the ordering and fulfillment of medical supplies, durable medical equipment (DME), and administrative materials. The coordinator serves as a primary liaison with vendors and procurement, monitors inventory levels, manages backorders, and ensures timely distribution of supplies to clinics and administrative sites. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong vendor communication skills, and a service-oriented mindset to meet the evolving needs of clinical operations.

Responsibilities:Essential Functions
- Process and coordinate supply orders from clinics and administrative departments. Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment, assist with product substitutions, and help standardize supply usage across the organization.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding product availability, pricing, and delivery issues.
- Collaborate with Procurement to maintain approved vendors and manage urgent supply needs.
- Track and maintain inventory levels across centralized and clinic stockrooms. Coordinate with the Centralized
- Receiving Coordinator to align on incoming packages and restocking needs. Participate in cycle counts and audits to maintain accuracy.
- Enter and maintain accurate data related to orders, backorders, and vendor activity. Use inventory software to track deliveries, usage, and ensure data integrity through regular review.
- Provide clear, responsive communication to clinical and administrative staff regarding supply status and order updates. Assist teams in identifying suitable alternatives and resolving supply-related concerns.
- Compile usage data and order accuracy reports. Support departmental efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities and promote sustainable, efficient supply choices.
- Follow internal policies and procedures related to purchasing and supply chain operations. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Provide backup support to the Supply Chain team, including centralized receiving and transport operations, during peak times or urgent needs. Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (higher degree accepted)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years Supply Chain or Inventory Experience.
- 1 year Working directly with vendors and/or procurement teams to fulfill operational needs.
- 1 year Supporting procurement or supply chain processes in a healthcare or clinical environment
Lincenses & Certifications
- Lean Six Sigma Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Within 1 year of hired)
