Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Painters for a project located in Ruther Glenn, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $26/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Painter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
- Prepare surfaces; removing old paint, smoothing surfaces, filling nail holes, cracks & joints
- Prepare area for painting; moving covering/furniture/fixtures, taping & laying down drop clothes
- Use various techniques; spray paint, airbrush, stencil, roller or brush
- Inventory paint equipment & supplies
- Store paint & related chemical properly
Requirements:
- 5+ Years related work experience
- Must demonstrate knowledge of painting techniques and methods
- Ability to us hand & power tools
- Ability to lift 100 LBS at one time & 60 LBS for an extended period of time
- Comfortable working from heights up to 60 feet
- Must be able to walk, climb, & maintain balance on scaffold, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders
