How you’ll make an impact:
We’re looking for an innovative and strategic Senior Director, Social Media Content to lead our social media vision across music, talk, and sports. As a key leader at SiriusXM/Pandora, you’ll oversee a team of 10–20 talented social strategists, creators, and analysts—guiding the development of world-class content, audience growth, and
engagement across all social platforms. You will be instrumental in defining how our brand shows up in culture and how we connect with fans across verticals.
You’ll shape the voice and strategy of a brand that speaks to millions across multiple platforms. With a sharp eye on performance and culture, you’ll use data and insights to inform bold creative decisions, steering the team toward measurable success. Your leadership will ensure our social media presence not only entertains and engages but also drives business outcomes - serving as a connector between creativity and analytics.
What you’ll do:
Lead the overall strategy and execution of organic social media across music, talk, and sports verticals for SiriusXM and Pandora.
Manage and mentor a high-performing team of 10–20 across content, strategy, publishing, and insights.
Develop and refine performance-driven social strategies that align with broader marketing and brand goals.
Serve as the voice of authority on social trends, platform innovation, and audience behavior—anticipating shifts in culture and digital engagement.
Partner with creative, marketing, programming, and talent teams to create platform-native content that showcases the diverse content offerings of SiriusXM/Pandora.
Define success metrics and oversee regular reporting to leadership, ensuring insights lead to actionable outcomes.
Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and visual identity across all platforms, while allowing flexibility for content type and platform specificity.
Build strategic partnerships with social platforms and collaborate with internal stakeholders on paid/organic integration.
Help shape executive-level conversations around social performance, growth opportunities, and investment areas.
What you’ll need:
12+ years of experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, or audience development—ideally within media & entertainment.
5+ years of experience in leading large, multidisciplinary teams with a focus on creative, strategy, and analytics.
Deep knowledge of social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, etc.), their algorithms, features, and audiences.
Strong analytical mindset with experience using social listening tools, native platform analytics, and third-party reporting systems.
Proven ability to turn data into actionable insights and business strategy.
Keen understanding of entertainment culture—especially in music, sports, and talk formats.
Executive presence with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
A collaborative spirit with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships and inspire a team to deliver creative, culturally relevant work.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $115,000 to $175,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
